Metric Lag Screws

METRIC STAINLESS A4 (316) LAG SCREW (COACH SCREW), DIN 571

Metric lag screws (sometimes called lag bolts) are usually threaded up to ¾ of the way from point to head. The remainder of the lag screw's shaft is round and smooth.

Lag screws are used in wood. The most common head style is hex, followed by square. The hex style of the lag screw is more easily wrenched.
